tomatoes fine. The answer got kicked out probably because those people thought I was implying something else. I am a 63 year old grandmother that loves to garden and grow vegetables so what was wrong with that?
I'm a 64-year-old grandmother, and have gotten a "Violation Notice" now and then over nothing more than an answer that some idiot didn't understand. The Yahoo Nazis are just not worth arguing with.
areoponics is a very fast way of growing herbs. hydroponics is a fast way of growing plants.
Almost all stores with a gardening section like Home Depot will have hydroponics. I'm not sure about areoponics… is that growing plants with only air?
I am 13 and I said this question because I live in a townhouse and they give you no space what so ever to plant anything (not even grass!) and if you do grow a garden, the curious and wild littlier children will mess with it and so will the pit bulls that roam around (scary, isn't it), and I said this because my teacher got me interested in flowers. I am interested in it and wanted to try it. A lot of details would be highly appreciated! I am just starting to love flowers, help me please!
there are lots of plants that are very happy to grow indoors in pots and trays on windowsills. just have to be more careful about watering as most plants dry out easily indoors but dont like being over watered
I live in an apt right now, but we are searching for a house. We love to use fresh herbs and given our lack of yard, and need for portability when we move into a house, we are looking to make a "container" garden. Something with herbs, vegies, even fruits. (I know they make mini banana, and citrus trees for container gardens) BUT I am a self proclaimed black thumb, and need MAJOR help with what to purchase and how-to. Any useful links, would be helpful too. Thanks so much my dears!
I saw your question and I, too, live in an apartment and wondering how I can grow some goodies for myself.
I typed in 'container gardening' and ran a yahoo.com search. It brought up a plethora of sites and great ideas:

I have never even had a real plant, but I'm interested in growing my own herbs indoors. Where is a good place to purchase what is needed for one? What are some helpful tips in growing and maintaining?
Lack of sufficient light is the main problem that most people have with regards to growing herbs indoors. Be sure to keep them in a sunny window or provide supplimental artificial light for them. Also try using a top quality potting soil, I use Miracle Gro because of the slow release fertilizer which lasts about 3 months. The easiest way to have a good start to your garden is to get small plants/seedlings from a nursery or garden shop.Their knowledgeable employees can be a great resource for growing any type of plant, indoors or out.
