Indoor Herb Garden

I am writing a paper on hydroponics so i need to know how to set a system up. Thanks to all who try to help, Its greatly appreciated:)

There is no single method of hydroponics. All you need is water and a way to keep it from becoming de-oxygenated. I use aquarium air pumps in my setup, a misting water pump, and an enclosed plasic reservoir. You also need to add pure nutrients into the water and have a way to keep algae from forming (algae is the weeds in hydro gardening).

Cookie Cutters
For a sweet ending, make several batches of homemade cookies and package them in cellophane bags. Print out the recipe (you can even type it out in Microsoft Word, print on heavy stock paper, and cut to recipe card size) and attach to the bag with ribbon along with an alphabet cookie cutter. Head to a kitchen store and buy the first initial of each guest attending the shower. It’s a perfectly personalized treat.

Mix CD
Yes, you’ve seen this at weddings, but here’s the chance to give it a real girl-power kick. Make a mix of your favorite getting-ready songs from ladies that rock like The Go-Gos, Gwen Stefani, and Madonna. If there’s time, make two mixes: one for the younger crowd and one for the older set (Nina Simone, Debbie Harry, and Patsy Cline).

Tea Time
Having a ladies’ lunch? Continue the theme with colorful teacups each stuffed with a packet of tea. Take the idea one step further by creating three different packages from which guests can choose: the morning person (brightly colored mugs with English Breakfast tea); the afternoon lady (white tea cups with white or green tea); and the night owl (small espresso-style cups with chamomile). Set them out on a table with cute signs.

Fortune Cookies
Print a different fortune for each guest on tiny strips of paper: the next man you kiss is your prince, the bride likes you best, Uncle Joe would like the first dance, and so on. Buy a box of fortune cookies and replace the existing fortunes. The trick is to wrap the fortune cookie in a damp paper towel for 20 or 30 seconds, until it’s malleable. Open the cookie, and switch the slip of paper inside, and close/fold the cookie back to its original shape. Consider dipping the cookie in chocolate for a final touch.

Herb Garden
Create your very own herb garden for guests to take home. On a table, set up a display of various herbs purchased from a local nursery (basil, mint, and more). Attach a signature recipe card to each herb — pesto for the basil plant; mojitos for the mint. Alternate idea: garden gloves and a nice hand cream.

Ice Cream Scoops and Toppings Bar
What screams summer like ice cream? Give each guest an ice cream scoop and a chance to bring home their own toppings. Set up various jars filled with popular toppings like rainbow sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, and Captain Crunch! Place scoops nearby with tiny Chinese takeout containers for guests to fill.

Beauty Bar
Another crowd-pleasing display idea is the beauty bar. Set up jars filled with mini-nail polishes, lip glosses, sample-size moisturizers, bath salts, and more. Let guests pick and choose their pampering goods.

I like the cookie cutter idea the best. It is soo cute!

I’m growing an indoor herb garden and is it normal for parsley seeds to grow a thick opaque blue film around them before and during germination? Also do cilantro seeds get slightly … fuzzy(?) before they germinate? Help !

Im usgin the "Chia" herb garden. So the seeds are resting on top of the "sponge"

They appear to be contaminated. They should just look like always when they send out their shoots for roots and cotyledons. A couple of tonics to help before planting are: Seed Starter Tonic. Indoors or outdoor plantings. 1 cup of white vinegar. 1 Tsp, of baby shampoo or liquid dish soap. 2 cups of warm water. Mix all three together in a bowl and let the seed soak overnight before planting. To prevent Damping off, that’s when seedlings rot off at the ground or lower level and die. Use 4 tsp of Chamomile tea and 1 tsp liquid dish soap added to a quart of boiling water let steep for an hour. Strain and cool.
Mist on seedlings as soon as they appear. The seeds are contaminated from something, molds?. Perhaps from their source? Maybe in handling? Perhaps the planting medium? Did you follow "Chi’s" pre-cleaning and planting instructions? They want their product to work so you and your friends are repeat customers. These two recipes will greatly aid you in a healthy herb garden. Your environment in the house is perhaps drier than a desert. You will have to water the herbs more frequently than if they were in the ground outside. Watch for drooping to indicate dryness. I bought a moisture meter from Walmart for about $5. to help me get the correct soil moisture every time, instantly.

okay so in my dream me and my boyf are in bed the curtain was blowing around and we heard something so my boyf got out and looked to the window we saw a little blonde girl holding on to the windowsill hanging out and a random family in my back garden as my boyf went to reach out to help her i shouted no! and then the girl let go and dropped!!!!
i cant belieive a dreamt that it was really bad! why would i have such an awful dream?
well i was hpoing someone might be able to interpret it 4 me

being with boy friend in bed = intimacy, things you want to do in private
curtain was blowing = distraction
little blonde girl dropped = helplessness

It seems like a random dream, but the dream may be telling you that you may be distracted by things you do not want to see in reality.

There are two aspects in this dream.

1. Your boy friend trying to help her, but can’t. That is a reflection of things you feel not confident about your boy friend. Projecting the girl dropped may be a reflection of things you feel helpless about.

2. This little blond girl may also be a reflection of you. You are feeling helpless in some way. Projecting the time that you are in bed with your boy friend. That hints about some close relationship; however, this interruption basically reflects some disagreement or disapproval by some in reality. That may also be why you projected the girl dropping as a mean of being disapproved and being helpless.

Whatever it is, examine your life and you will know what triggered the dream.
