I would like any information, web addresses etc. you have on making a simple hydroponics system at home or hydroponics in general. This is a school project. I would like any information on herbs too.
Thank you very much for your help.
I'm in Year 8 at school,
pal2k_2001. Thanks for your great answer.
Here is a good 10 lesson journal of hydroponics. It should give you some great insights, step, by step.

Just checked out "google" on this for you and came up with:
http://www.simplyhydro.com
and oodles of other sites for you to check.
For growing herbs and information about them you can check out the website the Philadlphia Horticultural Society has or go to:
http://www.burpee.com
for the Burpee seed company. They can do a "live" online chat with you about plants and are very helpful.
Good luck with your school project! What grade are you in?
Have fun!

water, colloidal minerals (nourishment), aquarium pump, any plant that will root in water (pothos ivy) and you have a simple hydroponics system.

Couple of Universities had good posts on hrydroponic gardening…
There are different types so read up.
The easiest uses pvc pipe and a gravity feed. No muss no fuss.
Love having fresh tomatoes when the rest of neighborhood has those nasty store bought ones!
Okay a little muss and fuss required(plus good light source)
AND definitely reading up BUT excellent school project, GOOD LUCK!
PS Some plants do not tolerate other type plants so check that as well before mixing… plus you'll need to keep area well ventilated AND fight the bad bugs(couple of spiders can be your best organic friends!)!

Also check aeroponics and a mag used to be called "The Indoor Sun". Online search…
